This Academy is for young passionate, talented and determined football players who are willing to work hard tO achieve own goals.

It all starts with the understanding that…

Players must recognize their career ambitions are directly connected to results. Along the way, they need to realize that football talent alone is only a prerequisite — it merely opens the door to professional football. To truly progress, players must also develop the mental strength to overcome challenges and obstacles.

The path is difficult, and we believe it shouldn’t be made too easy. That’s why people say our training sessions are complex and demand everything from you — demanding and intense, because that’s the only real way to reach the next level.

Our Mission & Vision

MLES Academy is an integral part of the player development pathway, with a mission to identify, attract, and develop players for the professional ranks. Recognized as one of the nation’s most successful academy programs, it has a proven track record of producing talented players who progress to MLS academies, the German football market, and elite universities.

Through innovative programming and a dedicated support team, the academy develops some of the most talented, hard-working, and disciplined players both locally and regionally. We stand for the holistic development of each player and provide one of the most challenging and professional training environments in North America.

Our main goal is to prepare and support as many players as possible to reach professional football clubs — especially in Germany, MLS academies, or elite universities. At the same time, we carry an educational responsibility toward every player — even those who may not reach the professional level. We want every player to leave this academy as a winner.

Every athlete takes valuable lessons from MLES that will help them later — whether at university or in any other area of life. Values such as commitment, perseverance, effort, and teamwork are essential not only in football but in every field of success.

At MLES, we believe football is more than just a game — it is a school of life.

Our Philosophy

Generally speaking, the MLES Academy structure is built to play and teach aggressive, attractive, high-intensity, and high-pressing football. Our academy teams are active both with and without the ball — employing an assertive pressing system and always looking to make dynamic runs behind the opponent’s defensive line when in possession. We aim for a high tempo, combined with a fearless playing style and a strong commitment to our training and game principles.

The four laws of learning are explanation, demonstration, imitation, and repetition. Our goal is to build correct habits that players can execute instinctively, even under the highest pressure.

About Agreements & Principles of Play

We have a clear idea of football and how to play and to develop.

DEVELOP AND TRAIN GAME PRINCIPLES: A coach’s playing philosophy and principles define the overall identity of the football he wants his team to play. Building on this foundation, the team’s approach and style of play are guided by core principles that every player must internalize in order to execute the desired game model.

These principles — which can be applied to all phases of the game — form a consistent framework that provides orientation, regardless of the system or formation being used. They help players of different ages and skill levels better understand the game and apply essential behaviors on the field. At the same time, they allow the coach to communicate his understanding of football clearly and effectively.

Every game situation involves a process of perception, decision-making, and execution. Each moment on the field requires players to read, adapt, and respond effectively. The Principles of Play serve as a guide through these moments — helping players make better decisions and act with clarity and purpose.

Marcel Lowitsch has translated his tactical ideas into a set of clear Principles of Play. MLES Academy adheres firmly to this philosophy — built on high pressing and controlling the game through intensity and structure — before making any tactical adjustments based on the opponent.

Our players learn to adapt quickly and develop new game ideas at a fast pace. We aim to encourage creativity within our principles, giving players freedom to express themselves while maintaining the discipline and structure essential for long-term development.

This academy program demands a strong level of physical and mental preparation, tactical understanding, and commitment to our principles. Only then can we meet our high standards and maintain the intensity and quality that define our style of play and player development.

Our academy principles serve as clear guidelines for how players should act and make decisions on the field.

We ensure that every player fits within our philosophy, development model, and style of play. This is the only way to guarantee continuous improvement and to develop each player in the best possible way — always with their long-term growth in mind.
